Bladder cancer prevention

The PreventID® Bladder test employs a unique combination of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to selectively identify factor H protein, a specific bladder cancer protein in urine samples. Factor H protein is a well recognized prognostic marker for the detection of primary and recurrent bladder tumors.
Intermittent hematuria is a common symptom of bladder cancer. The PreventID® Bladder employs specific antibodies to determine even smallest amounts of hemoglobin (≥ 250 ng/ml) in urine samples.
The parallel detection of factor H protein and hemoglobin improves the rate of cancer detection significantly, leading to a sensitivity ranging from 57% - 97% depending on tumor stage.

Prostate cancer is next to lung cancer one of the most frequent malignant tumor in men. The disease affects more than 41,5 million men in North America, Europe and Japan. All the same, a visit at the urologist is still unpopular: Only one in five men over 45 uses the opportunity of free cancer screening.
With the PreventID^® PSA Preventis will soon offer a specific rapid test for the screening of prostate cancer.
