An adequate vitamin D concentration is important for the prevention of skeletal disorders such as osteoporosis and other serious diseases .
The PreventID^® Vital-D sample device enables the vitamin D determination from capillary blood: Using a lancet, a small blood sample is acquired from the fingertip - quickly, easily and virtually painless. The sample is subsequently dripped onto a matrix. The air-dried probe is storable without cooling and can be send by regular mail to a laboratory where the amount of 25-OH vitamin D in the dried blood spot is determined.
The PreventID^® Vital-D sample device is ideal for children and senior citizens and enables a comprehensive screening of vitamin D status without much effort.
